This year my word was Zest.
I adore the way is sort of buzzes with energy when you say it!
noun~ With great enthusiasm and energy; She had a Zest for life. * a quality of excitement and piquancy; I used to try to beat past records to add zest to my monotonous job
Well that could not be more true! After owning my own companies for many years I had taken a sales job. Selling a software product I loved, to an industry I loved, filled with people I loved. But let me tell you, that trying to beat sales records did nothing to keep me from being bored out of my mind. I realized that being tied to a phone line was not Zestful and did not make me feel Zesty at all! Even though I knew the product and could help people I lost my Zest!
So yes, I left that job and have gone in search of my Zest!
It is after all the one word intention that I chose for myself this year. I have not honored that intention as well as I should on many occasions.
Good news! The year is not over!!
I hereby officially and publicly, recommit to my intention to live a Zestful existence, no matter what it takes. I break free of anything not Zesty!! I will choose to surround myself with kindred spirits. I am Zestfully selling or donating most of my furniture etc. and moving to Santa Fe, a town filled with creative, zesty beings. Traveling light makes more room for Zest!
I have aligned myself with the very Zesty, and enlightened beings at Balboa Press a division of Hay House publishing to publish my first book "The Birth of Wonderment"
To honor my Zest I have launched my website today 10/16/12 www.cindymonten.com
It is a work in progress but I do hope that you will check it out.
If you don't have a word you can pick one now. Write it down, keep it with you, write it on your mirror, put it on your coffee cup.
The new year is right around the corner so, I'll be thinking about my word for next year. Hmmmm.......???? So many wonderful words to choose from . Entrepreneur, global, phenomenal, inspire??? Good thing I have time to think about that.
Wishing you a Zestfully, Zesty day, or whatever word aligns with your intention.
